What is Oxidization?

Tuesday Oct 21, 2008

This will help you understand what is oxidization and what effect does it have on your body.

When a piece of metal or a piece of wood is left out in the weather – and it endures the sun, rain, wind and other natural elements – it will start to rust and corrode.  The changes that occur to the metal or the wood is called oxidization, or oxidation.  Normally, both metal and wood are considered strong in structure, right?  But as the metal rusts and the wood corrodes, both become weaker, and damaged.  They can no longer be used for their intended purposes because they won’t be strong enough.

Similar things happen to the human body, too.  With every breath we take, with the foods we eat, with the levels of toxicity in the air – they’re all slowly damaging our bodies. The free radical damage that happens to us as our body absorbs  all this toxicity slowly  eats away and causes human oxidation.  If we do nothing to prevent or stop the effects, we are slowly becoming damaged, and weak.

Oxidation to the human body is a little bit like rust to a piece of metal, or when you chop an apple and put it out on a kitchen bench, it will slowly turn brown. That’s oxidation.

In the medical world, there have been many tests and blood chemistries that prove that high levels of oxidation leads to inflammation, which then leads to disease within the body.  In order to be healthy then, we know we need to fight that process within the body using nutrition and the delivery of antioxidants to help build the immune system, and help fight the onset of disease.

Just as the metal or wood left out to corrode becomes weak from the damage of oxidation caused by free radicals - the human body becomes stressed from the toxins put into it, and will become weaker.  The antioxidants are designed to mop up the free radicals and restore strength back to your cells. Getting Healthy and Staying Healthy!

Tuesday Oct 14, 2008

So what are the main things we need to know about getting healthy and staying healthy? We know that what you put in your body has everything to do with how you turn out.   You know the saying, ‘you are what you eat’?  Well, this is absolutely true.  If you put rubbish into your body, rubbish is going to come out, and rubbish is going to be the quality of what goes on with your body and your general health.  It plays a large role in your appearance as well as your overall health – and getting healthy starts with getting the right kinds of foods going into your body.

In order to stay healthy, even if you are a complete non-believer in things like vitamins and supplements, you can do your body a favor and stop with high-level sugars. Stop with processed foods, and stop eating anything that has trans fats, that sort of thing.  Eliminating these things from your diet will go a long way to becoming and staying healthy because they are simply filling us up with toxicity.

If you want to age well, look as young as possible and be as vibrant as possible you need to think hard about what you put into your body.  If you want to be as active as possible and fully enjoy your children and your grandchildren, you need to think really hard about what you’re putting into your body because it will be the deciding factor as to whether or not you’re able to really do all of these things.

To become pro-active with your health, you’ll first want to do your homework.  See what the world of alternate medicine offers: what’s out there?  Are you getting the right level of nutrients from the foods that you eat?  Start out with a quality diet and a good, quality exercise and lifestyle program and you will be well on your way to getting healthy and staying healthy.

The Benefits of Vitamins

Sunday Oct 5, 2008

People often do not realize the fantastic benefits of vitamins. Many people believe they get all the vitamins and nutrients they need from the food they eat, and that vitamins are a waste of time.  In fact, it’s common for doctors to support this belief and it’s understandable because doctors are trained in the world of sickness, medicine and drugs.  They are not typically trained in nutrition or the power that the correct level of nutrients going into the body has on overall health.

Over the years, testing on vitamins has probably been done on poor quality, general vitamin supplements.  The results would show that those are not a great benefit to our health.  Doctors tend to go by these old tests, and their short period of nutrition training experienced in their medical training.  And patients tend to come away from their doctors and say, “My doctor said vitamins are really a waste of my time…” and this is where some of this belief that vitamin supplements are not useful.

Thankfully, media is beginning to cover more the power of good nutrition and the effects of what we put into our body.  The world itself is becoming more aware.  As generations are becoming sick to death of being sick and unhealthy and having a severe lack of energy, more attention is being paid to alternative health.

So if you wanted to become wealthy- you would get advice from someone with money right?  You wouldn’t go to someone who has a ton of debt and can barely keep up with their payments.  So if you want to be healthy, why are we taking our only advice from doctors who deal with sickness and disease and drugs and hospitals?  In the last 30 or 40 years, we have all been exposed to much higher levels of toxins and a different way of life than what doctors have been learning.  So antioxidants are becoming much more important to us than they were, and the medical fraternity hasn’t picked up on that too much before now and this could be a reason why people are not yet leading as healthy of a lifestyle as they could be. So do not overlook the benefits of vitamins.

Why is living a healthy lifestyle so Important

Sunday Sep 28, 2008

Living a healthy lifestyle is so important. We know more than ever now that we’re dealing with a world of toxicity that comes from the packaged foods we eat – processed foods – and the outpourings of gases in our environment from air conditioning and disease. This generation is living with a higher level of toxicity than ever before in history, and the amount of disease in the world has proven that. We are experiencing high levels of obesity and general degeneration of the generation.

All of these things tell us that we have to live a healthy lifestyle. So for us, we want to be as proactive as possible to help people realize that. If we put the right things into our bodies, be active, get the exercise that we need, and use the right tools- as well as to deal with aging well, rather than aging badly, we believe we can all live to the ages of 90 or 95 or even 100. And we believe you can live to these advanced ages in a healthy way!

Living a healthy lifestyle also involves the prevention of degenerative disease. There are lots of ways that you can prevent degenerative disease, and most people overlook them. It’s really our whole medical system is more on a break-fix cycle. We wait for things to go wrong, and then the doctor gives you something to fix it, rather than the preventative side, which most people don’t really like or don’t worry about, and we think that’s probably the most important side and necessary to living a healthy lifestyle.
